This is the glow-in-the-dark version of the most understable driver Discmania makes, meaning it wants to flip up and turn over with almost no power required. It is an awesome choice for night rounds when you need effortless carry down the fairway without risking a hard fade into the dark woods. Check out the rest of the family by browsing the full Discmania Function Collection Hub, or see all of our high-speed options in the main disc golf fairway drivers collection. We take individual photos and weigh every single disc by hand, so the exact color and stamp combo you choose is what shows up at your door.

<>

Flight Numbers

The numbers on the Function show exactly why it is built for easy distance. At an 8 speed, you do not need an elite arm to get this disc down the fairway. The massive 6 glide keeps it floating for a long time, while the extreme -4 turn guarantees an easy, sweeping right-hand drift before slowing down for a soft 1 fade that lands flat.

Speed

Glide

Turn

Fade

8

6

-4

1

The Neo Lumen Function delivers:

Glow Visibility: The added glow agent makes the disc easy to charge up and spot in the grass during late-evening or night rounds.

Automatic Flip-Up: Thrown with a decent hyzer angle, it quickly pops up flat and carries straight down the center with minimal effort.

Gentle Finish: It doesn't dump or skip hard when it slows down, meaning it settles quietly right where it hits the ground.

It excels at:

Late-day or night rounds where keeping track of a flippy fairway driver is normally tough.

Long, turning roller lines that easily lay down on edge and carry far down the fairway.

Helping beginners and slower arm speeds achieve true driver distance without early fading.

<>

The Neo Lumen Plastic Advantage

Neo Lumen takes the excellent durability of Discmania's Evolution line and adds glow capability for low-light rounds. In the hand, it keeps that comfortable, semi-translucent feel with a slightly gummy texture that gives you a great grip in both warm and cold weather. The glow additive makes the plastic cool out of the mold just a hair stiffer than standard stock runs, which a lot of players prefer for a clean release. It handles heavy tree strikes easily, meaning it will hold onto its ultra-understable flight path for multiple seasons without instantly turning into an unpredictable roller.

<>

How the Neo Lumen Function Fits in the Discmania Lineup

Vs the Discmania Neo Function: The stock Neo run is built strictly for daytime rounds, whereas this Lumen version adds night visibility while offering a fraction more stiffness in the hand.

Vs the Discmania Lux Vapor Function: The Lux Vapor run focuses entirely on premium swirling colors and a very soft, buttery texture, while the Lumen version leans on classic Neo grip with glow capabilities.

Vs the Discraft Heat: The Heat relies on a higher profile rim that can feel deep for small hands, while the Neo Lumen Function keeps a low, flat shape that feels much cleaner on a standard power grip.

<>

Discmania Neo Lumen Function Release Information

Flight Numbers: Speed 8 | Glide 6 | Turn -4 | Fade 1

Disc Type: Understable Fairway Driver

Plastic Blends: Neo Lumen Premium Glow

<>

Frequently Asked Questions About the Discmania Neo Lumen Function

How bright does Neo Lumen plastic glow compared to other brands?

Neo Lumen offers a solid, dependable glow that charges up quickly with a standard UV flashlight. It gives you plenty of visibility to track your disc through the night air and spot it easily in the fairway, though it isn't quite as intensely bright as heavy daytime premium plastics.

Is this glow version more stable than a standard stock Function?

Yes, slightly. Glow additives usually make premium plastic cool just a tiny bit stiffer out of the mold. Brand new Neo Lumen runs will fight off high-speed flutter a fraction better than standard stock Neo, though it remains a highly understable, easy-turning driver.

Can players with high arm speeds throw this disc safely?

High-power throwers can absolutely use it, but they will need to control their release angles. If thrown flat at full power, it will quickly turn over into a roller.
